The Myzune brand is a hypothetical designer toy brand that incorporates interchangeability, fidget ability, and customization in their products. In doing such, this promotes individuality in teens and young adults, simply bringing some joy and whimsy into their lives. The logotype is abstract in concept to let the viewer interpret what they see, like an ink blot test. In my personal experience, I love collecting little trinkets and seeing the scope of how design and ’toys’ can be implemented, but as a young adult, it is hard to be passionate if it has not considered adult standards. We lose the child-like wonder we had, dulling our personalities and limiting our creative potential. I made this fictional brand and blind box to do something that is true to me and that can influence others like me. For the toy itself and to make it more interactive, I broke each toy into 3 pieces and combined them with magnets, letting people customize them as their own (with 2 or more of course, encouraging collectability). Weather was the chosen subject to make sectioning off the figures not feel brutal and like limb body parts. Since weather conditions are in the air, it is treated as floating parts that are connected. It also addresses advocacy environmental issues. For the shapes, they are based off retro arcade flooring but with a modern twist to make them feel more designer.
